Munich/Düsseldorf, July 31, 2024 — The young boutique law firm Walberg Law Tax Strategy GmbH & Cie. KG (”Walberg & Cie.“) is expanding its tax team with Tim Hoferichter (33 years). Hoferichter becomes counsel in the area of tax law and works in particular together with Manuel Brühl, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Walberg & Cie. Hoferichter is strengthening the law firm's recently opened Düsseldorf office and will establish the tax law department here.

Hoferichter already has seven years of professional experience as a tax advisor and is also a specialist consultant for corporate succession (DStV e.V.). His extensive knowledge covers special issues relating to the taxation of partnerships and corporations, tax issues in succession advice and advising other professional colleagues on complex issues. Before joining Walberg & Cie., Hoferichter was a partner in a medium-sized law firm in Münster. Prior to that, he gained valuable experience as a team leader at Ebner Stolz in Hamburg, where he advised a wide range of clients, from up-and-coming startups to large corporations. Hoferichter was intensively involved in Ebner Stolz's national competence centers.

Dr. Roman Sprenger, new managing partner and head of Walberg & Cie.'s Düsseldorf site, explains:”With Tim Hoferichter, we are gaining an outstanding tax advisor and a very pleasant colleague who impresses with his expertise and ability to solve complex tax issues pragmatically. He has already built up a remarkable tax track record in his young years.

Hoferichter will play an important role in the development of Walberg & Cie.'s Düsseldorf site. With his tax expertise in the area of corporate succession, he is ideally positioned to meet the increasing demand for specialized tax advice in exits and succession situations, not only among entrepreneurs, but especially with NextGen.

For us, his specialization in succession advice and the taxation of companies is of great value, especially in the sell-side transaction that I often supervise in exit and succession situations. I am really looking forward to working closely with him” adds Sprenger.

Hoferichter also has extensive experience in providing ongoing tax advice to complex clients and will establish the area of ongoing taxation of investors, family offices and wealthy private individuals at Walberg & Cie.

Manuel Brühl, tax advisor and co-founder of Walberg & Cie., adds:”The addition of Tim Hoferichter is an important step in expanding our new location in Düsseldorf. His expertise in tax advice and in particular in succession advice is a great asset for us. At the same time, I am delighted that we have found a perfect team in Tim Hoferichter to develop tax declaration advice for selected clients, such as investors, family offices and wealthy private individuals. Here, we have recently had an increasing number of very exciting mandate requests from major asset management companies and family offices, which we can now also serve in a first-class manner. The fact that Tim has extensive experience in both specialist tax advice and declaration advice at such a young age is particularly valuable to us.

The expansion of the team with court judge enables Walberg & Cie. to position tax law even more effectively on the market as a central pillar of the law firm and to successfully develop the strategically exciting areas of succession consulting and declaration advice. The new location in Düsseldorf will play a decisive role in meeting the increasing demand for these consulting services and continuing to drive the firm's overall growth.

Tim Hoferichter himself enthusiastically comments on his new role at Walberg & Cie.:”I am delighted to be part of Walberg & Cie. and to help shape the Düsseldorf office and the entire law firm. The law firm has earned an outstanding reputation for its excellent advice and innovative approach. I see great opportunities to optimally support our clients in this dynamic region. ”
