Munich/Duesseldorf, 31 July 2024 – The young boutique law firm Walberg Law Tax Strategy GmbH & Cie. KG (“Walberg & Cie.”) is expanding its tax team with Tim Hoferichter (33 years old). Hoferichter will be Counsel in the tax law department and will work primarily together with Manuel Bruehl, Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Walberg & Cie. Hoferichter will strengthen the firm’s recently opened Düsseldorf office and will build up the tax law department here.
Hoferichter already has seven years of professional experience as a tax consultant and is also a specialist consultant for corporate succession (DStV e.V.). His extensive knowledge covers special issues relating to the taxation of partnerships and corporations, tax issues in succession consulting and advising other professional colleagues on complex issues. Before joining Walberg & Cie., Hoferichter was a partner in a medium-sized law firm in Münster. Prior to that, he gained valuable experience as a team leader at Ebner Stolz in Hamburg, where he advised a wide range of clients, from up-and-coming start-ups to large corporations. Hoferichter was intensively involved in Ebner Stolz’s national competence centers.
Dr. Roman Sprenger, new Managing Partner and Head of Walberg & Cie.’s Düsseldorf office, explains: “With Tim Hoferichter, we are hiring an outstanding tax advisor and very pleasant colleague who impresses with his expertise and his ability to solve complex tax issues pragmatically. He has already built up a remarkable tax track record in his younger years.”
Hoferichter will play an important role in the further development of Walberg & Cie.’s Düsseldorf office. With his tax expertise in the area of succession, he is ideally positioned to meet the increasing demand for specialized tax advice on exits and succession situations, not only from entrepreneurs but also from NextGen in particular.
“His specialization in succession advice and the taxation of companies is of great value to us, especially in the sell-side transactions I often handle in exit and succession situations. I am very much looking forward to working closely with him,” adds Sprenger.
Hoferichter also has extensive experience in the area of ongoing tax advice for complex clients and will build up the area of ongoing taxation of investors, family offices and wealthy private individuals at Walberg & Cie.
Manuel Bruehl, tax consultant and co-founder of Walberg & Cie, comments: “The addition of Tim Hoferichter is an important step in the expansion of our new office in Düsseldorf. His expertise in tax advice and in particular in succession advice is a great asset for us. At the same time, I am very pleased that in Tim Hoferichter we have found the perfect person to develop tax declaration advice for selected clients such as investors, family offices and wealthy private individuals. We have recently had an increasing number of very exciting client inquiries from major asset management companies and family offices, which we can now also serve in a first-class manner. The fact that Tim already has a great deal of experience in special tax advice as well as declaration advice at such a young age is particularly valuable for us.”
The expansion of the team with Hoferichter enables Walberg & Cie. to position tax law as a central pillar of the firm even more effectively on the market and to successfully develop the strategically promising areas of succession advice and declaration advice. The new office in Duesseldorf will play a decisive role in meeting the increasing demand for these advisory services and in driving forward the firm’s overall growth.
Tim Hoferichter himself comments on his new role at Walberg & Cie. with enthusiasm: “I am delighted to be part of Walberg & Cie. and to help shape the Duesseldorf office and the firm as a whole. The firm has earned an outstanding reputation for its excellent advice and innovative approach. I see great opportunities to optimally support our clients in this dynamic region and beyond.”
